The Vera Philosophy
The name Vera is deeply personal, inspired by my daughter, Vera Alleyne. After raising four boys and building a career in neurosurgery and orthopedics—experiences that demanded strength, resilience, and grit—Vera helped me rediscover the beauty of femininity and the importance of balance. She became the inspiration for a practice dedicated to helping people feel strong, healthy, confident, and beautiful in their truest form.
At Vera Wellness & Aesthetics, we believe feeling your best and looking your best go hand in hand. Cofounded by Katherine Alleyne, PA-C, a Physician Assistant and Dannon Sumrall, RN, a nurse entrepreneur, Vera combines clinical experience with a personal approach to wellness and aesthetics.
Meet Your Provider
I’ve been a Physician Assistant for 14 years, specializing in Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, and Urgent Care, alongside a Fragility Fracture Liaison Certification from the Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation. Beyond my clinical background, my real drive comes from personal experience.
After going through four pregnancies, debilitating spine issues, hormone imbalances, significant weight challenges, and autoimmune struggles, I had to take control of my own health. By combining diet, targeted exercise, medical supplements, and clinical treatments as tools, I transformed my physical well-being. Once I felt better on the inside, I began focusing on aesthetics to feel and look my best on the outside. That total transformation made me a better mother, wife, friend, and provider—and I want to bring that same life-changing experience to every single one of my patients.
